I am reading a non-fiction novel titled Ghetto Passport,written be Michael A. McKenzie. The title of the book my fool you into thinking it is not a deep book. However, I have been enjoying reading about his experiences growing up in the inner city of Baton Rouge, LA. Also, his insights on African American struggles and the politics that go along with being Black in American. I find myself laughing out loud, tearing up, and actually visualizing some of the experiences in this book. Go Get it ASAP!

"Even Numbers" by Barbara Grovner. One of the best reads of contemporary/literary fiction today. Even urban book club reviewers could not deny it. 13 reviews on amazon-5 star rating. B&N-5 stars as well. Bringing purpose back to black fiction.

If you're a reader, you HAVE to check out this book from a new author, Portia A. Cosby. She can contend with the well-knowns. The book is called TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE. One of my best friends had it. I picked it up and couldn't put it down!
