I loved watching Ed do interviews on television and I will miss him. I was saddened to hear of his of his passing but I feel like he was wrong to disown his son for so many years. I'm glad he contacted him before he passed but you can't make up for all those years.

When I heard the news of Ed Bradley I was completely devasted by it. We have truly lost a treasure amongst one of our very valued and talented hard working individual. I am a Canadian working in the UK currently and always try and catch up on the CBS updates when I can. I would like to share my condolences to Ed's family and hope that his memory will be carried on for many many years to come. As a little black girl living in a cold white Canadian town, his presence on the TV screen on 60 minutes was what brought my family together every Sunday evening. His journalism was elegant in a true real sense. His black face a testament to me that we can be great. Shame on you Essence for choosing "Buffoon" Ditty and his mistress over Mr.Bradley for the cover. Idiots like the former have only successfully undone what Ed Bradley attempted; That Black people can be quietly elegant and educated.

"I shall die, but that is all I shall do for death" ~ Edna St. Vincent Millay When I get to the gates of heaven and St. Peter ask me what did I do, I'm going to say I watched Ed Bradley interview Lena Horne. Journalism and life is so much better becauseof him; just a beautiful human being and a gentleman of the highest type.

What a classy gentleman! I've watched Ed Bradley for the past 20 years on 60 Minutes--he had a way of interviewing guests that made you feel--they've got to be telling Ed the truth. He seemed to be the type that although he knew he was terminally ill, he'd keep going until the last minute. He checked out at minute 59! He'll be sorely missed and 60 Minutes won't be the same. My sympathy to his widow and other family members.

I am sadden by the loss and my heartfelt condolences to his beloved family. I feel like I've lost a wonderfully funky, hip older brother. Being from New Orleans, I remember seeing Mr. Bradley on the stage at Jazzfest many timesHis love for jazz is legendary and only second to commitment to having intergrity and dignity in his reporting. His loss is keenly felt and ones could onnly aspire to be the kind of man (or woman) that he set the standard for.

When I look back on the old broadcasts of Vietnam when I was in grade school I remember seeing Ed Bradley in his early years. My dad was in the Air Force during that era stationed in U-TAPAO Thailand. He and my dad I know were in lots of danger. And could have easily been killed. We lost so many men and women. Ed Bradley almost lost his life when he was wounded. Dad came home in one piece. Though eventually I did choose to join the military and follow in my dad's footsteps. I just watched the "60 Minutes" tribute to Ed Bradley and was touched by all he did in his life. He was not only a intelligent African-American journalist, but he was an intelligent, genuine MAN. I'll miss Ed Bradley's gentlemanly demeanor. He was professionally very thorough in interviewing so many people over the years on "Sixty Minutes", yet, never showed harshness to even the most dificult interviewees. oh my goodness! I am truly going to miss him and his calmness and professionalism. He appeared to be a passionate man, caring and relaxed his role. I also thought he was such a "hottie" even as he aged gracefully. Tears were shed as I will miss him but Iknow his journey here is complete. May he rest in peace and my deepest condolences to his family. God Bless!

I will surely miss his face on Sunday night on 60 minutes. He was one of great black shinning stars of time. I saw him onces or twice in person and each time I was in awe of this beautiful black brother. My prayers go out to his wife Patrica and family. Always remember he is now in a better place but still doing the news.

One of the most exciting days of my life was over 20 years ago when my family moved to the Chicago area. My father took us on an "expedition" into the big city and lo and behold who do I see walking down the street but the one and only Ed Bradley. Thiswas in 1978 and at 13 years old I was in awe of this strong, handsome, accomplished black brother. He hugged me, told me to take my studies seriously and welcomed us to the city...I've been in love with him every since...My you rest in peace Ed Bradley, you ran a great race

I've watched Mr. Bradley on 60 minutes. He was very intelligent. He was the reason why my sisters and I went to Cheyney. Rest in Peace Mr. Bradley. We loved you, but God loved you best.

When I think of Ed Bradley I think of excellence in journalism and wonder who will now step up and strive for the caliber of professionalism he displayed on 60 minutes. He should be viewed as a role model for all students in the field.I wish his family comfort and peace at this difficult time!

I have been watching 60 minutes since I was a little girl. I loved seeing Ed because he was cool, confident, and professional without emulating something he was not. I will miss his presence.

My condolences go out to his wife and family. He was a pioneering journalist who was unafraid of challenges. I've always admired him as a journalist because he never changed his style. Ed Bradley has been true to himself for as long as I can remember. In this day and age of trashy journalism, Ed Bradley stands as a giant in the field. He was quiet and gentle, yet a tough journalist. He will be missed.
