I forgot to mention that I'm a home owner and my unemployment and severance will run out in a month. Too many bills to pay so it's hard to save. Help???

-L . Brown, Pittsburgh (continued)

I'm a 35 year old African American woman (single mother) and I was recently terminated from my job/career after 12 years. I've read your magazine on how to start my own business and tips on saving money, but personally, I'm not sure how to apply those tips to my life. I don't have a credit card so that's a major blessing but I do have student loans and I'm planning on going back to school to get my BA in Business Marketing. Not sure where my priorities lie and I don't know where to look for grants and scholarships that fit m

Joel:

I currently work for The Department of Corrections in New Jersey and our paths have probably crossed. I am a Black woman and I worry constantly about the state of our brothers incarcerated. I love my job and go there willingly each day. You havegiven me one more reason to keep going and doing what I know to be good work. Would love to talk to you face to face and put a real person on the dreams that I have for the young brothers who spend time in this system.

I have two different things too talk about. First I would like to say to Joel you while find the right women for you. Do not let women bring your joy down. Joel you have over came many thing in you life and if a women can't see that there will be someonethat will. My second thought is I would really like to ask Finesse a question. I have a really big problem and do not know what to do.

It is a blessing Joel that you have made the decision to change, and that you have learned from your past mistakes. The learning part is what helps us to grow, and the Lord will send someone in due time who will compliment that growth in your life, and continue to grow with you. Until then continue to live life passionately, love yourself and others as you would want to be loved, and live each day with a sense of preparedness for your blessing my brother is right around the corner. P.S. Joel you will know her when you meet
