Yes. This couple is doing great things to contribute to society. However, I don't agree that all traditional education is not comprehensive. And, there is a time and place for basic facts and figures as well. Especially in grade k-6. There are very manycharter and private schools that are being developed by people who think they have the best solutions to our eduational breakdowns which can lead to so many different learning styles, that it can become confusing and separating. Parent do have right to choose what is best for their children, but some things have to be taught outside of school as well. I think it would be of greater importance to create more public afterschool centers that can enhance childrens comprehension of standard material, positivesocialization and extra activities that will motivate and stimulate them while applying those life applications to their own lives. I've watched you and your wife for years and both of you were in a school setting. I believe it helps to see black successful students on TV. The problem we are having with students is, the teachers are young, school faculty are young, there aren't any wise older adults to teach our children. There isn't any professionalism in school. The teachers wear flip flops to class, and other questionable attire. Most of them are under the age of 30. Just trying to get ahead. Morality is not on their minds just money. All of the illegitmate children of the 70's and 80's are grown and have no moral value as their mommas and daddys. Grandmomma don't have time for them either. We need to raise our children in a Godly way. Make them work for what they need and stop giving them things they don't need. Read instead of watching TV. Encourage them to get scholarships and a good education.

I'm not even going to attempt to say that Will Smith is not a total package. Funny , endearing , smart and all that . My girlfriends and I say to one another all the time it would be great to get a man like BIG WILLIE. He has given hope to the African American Marriage. With a mix of dedication, love, and understanding this marriage is destined to be around until the end of time.

I am so suprised by all of the positive comments. Yes, Will have accomplished much and appears to have a successful marriage, but lets not forget the "open marriage" agreement he and Jada has. Is this a good example for his kids...for our kids. Is this truly a marriage is the sense of what we all know a marriage to be. I admire him for his love for his kids and family and that he and his ex have put their issues aside for the sake of his son. But, do we determine success only by the accomplishments one has made and the money one has or by the content of his character? I would say if he has a serious character commitment flaw with this 'open marriage' agreement

agree on the idea of "traditional education" taught preschool for 11 years and took my 4 children out of public school and into an african american owned and ran private sccool much better results

I love everything about what Will and Jada represent. They make you want to just grab your family and hug them and express on a daily your love for them. They are truly a bless couple. I am always impress with the fact that they have been together just as long as me and my husband, Jade made a statement in the news the other day about "still getting feel up" after so many years. Jada I hear you, I still get that as well, and that is what makes it so beautiful..knowing that you married a man whom is married man of the year. Mu husband is not on this list, but he is my married man of the year for 2008.

For those of you that are confused about the "Open Marriage" comment that was made by the Smiths, their explanantion was to be "Open & Honest" in their relationship with each other, to share & talk about everything with no secrets and not to hold onto negative things that can spill over into "Bigger things." We all should know better than to read into the "hype." I have been a Will Smith fan since I seen him in his first dramatic role in the movie "Six Degrees of Separation." To be an adverse actor and to play several different characters; takes skill and his craft has been perfected over the years where he can play any character. He always seems to amaze me in everything he does. He is such a multi-talented Black man with an ambitious nature. He seems to approach life/tasks as a challenge of things he looks forward to completing. Jada completes him and he completes her, they seem to feed off of each other. It is really nice to see a young black couple who seems to have found true companionship and working together as one.
