I agree! Essence, the RHOA is nothing to celebrate. The constant interviews and articles get mostly negative reactions. Essence should focus on more postive aspects of African-American women, which I thought was the purpose of Essence- Hmmm???
Essence why don't you stop glorifying these people. They make us all look bad and you think it's something to celebrate. If you're going to glorify and laugh at how they portray black women, then don't cry foul when the white media projects the same sad stereotypes. It's not okay for them to do it and it's not okay for us to do it to ourselves. Shame on you.

Look, a few years back, wasn't there some kind of movement among black women (lead by Essence) to take back rap and stop the rappers from degrading black women with their images and lyrics? Why is it wrong for rappers to depict us badly, but it's okay for RHOA? What's the difference? They'll both say it's entertainment, but is it?
