Though it may seem hard to believe, if you tally up his hit albums and singles, you'll realize that Marvin Sapp has been doing his thing for 20 years now. Sometimes, even he's surprised by that number.

Marvin Sapp rang ESSENCE.com during a promotional stop in Louisiana to discuss his latest project, the joy of doing what he's been called to do and the oh-so-sweet story of where he met his wife, MaLinda.

At 25, he just began the nationwide BP3 Tour 2010 opening for Jay-Z, his third album "Ready" was just certified Gold exceeding sales of 500,000, and he just participated in the remake of the classic "We Are The World" benefiting Haitian earthquake relief. During a break on his touring schedule in Dallas, Songz chatted with ESSENCE.com about the messages in his music, what it's like to work with superstars like Jay, Stevie Wonder and Barbra Streisand, and why he's excited about performing at the ESSENCE Music Festival.

She returns to the music scene with her second gospel album, "The Winner In Me," a project that reveals intimately her trials and tribulations and her true love for God. The album is heartfelt, and she cleverly combines Gospel with an R&B flavor. Through this album, she speaks hope and encouragement to anyone dealing with heavy issues. With her video for the single "The Winner in Me," recently debuting, Coko spoke to ESSENCE.com about being at her lowest, SWV, and finding peace and happiness with prayer.

UPDATE: MJ's Kids to Accept Father's Grammy Award

According to MTV.com, Prince Michael and Paris Jackson are rumored to be making their first public appearance since their father's memorial last summer. The two oldest children of Michael Jackson are said to be accepting a special Lifetime Achievement Award for their late father at the Recording Academy's Special Merit Awards ceremony in Los Angeles tomorrow. They will be accompanied by their grandmother, Katherine Jackson.

Along with earning the posthumous award, Jackson will be honored with a special 3-D tribute during the live broadcast of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
