'The Jack5ons: A Family Dynasty' Airs Sunday

jacksonstv_article_WEB_USETHIS.jpg

According to the LA Times, The Jackson brothers' "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" is more about the brothers journey to reclaim their fame and less about them coping with their superstar brother Michael's untimely death. The show, which begins airing this Sunday, features Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito Jackson prepping for and going on their reunion tour. Before his death Michael was supposed to make some appearances on "The Jacksons" and possibly join his four older brothers during some performances.

"'The Jacksons' does have the benefit of bygone celebrity, which the producers milk with many old photos and clips, and an actual narrative: The brothers are coming together not only for this reality show, but also to produce an album that will, they hope, rekindle the Jackson sound.

If Michael were still alive, the show would no doubt be fueled with the tantalizing possibility of an appearance by him, which, of course, would have never happened. But he died shortly after filming began, and "The Jacksons" became something else entirely: another grim example of the siren call of reality television," the article reads.

In regards to MJ's passing, the brother are not jumping to conclusions about whether or not Dr. Conrad Murray should take responsibility. "It's 'premature to point fingers and say who did what,'" Tito Jackson said, at an event for their upcoming show, according to E!.

We can't say whether the documentation of their tour is noteworthy yet, but like any reality TV show about superstars "all grown up", we're interested in watching these international megastars who never had a "real" childhood go through life's challenges in their own extraordinary reality.

Great show! The brothers remind me of wonderful parts of my childhood and I hope their comeback is super successful. They're all talented so haters stop judging them. They started this show before their brother died so of course contractually they must do it. And DumDiva, Randy was not part of the Jackson 5. Hope the show continues to rock!

I watched the two episodes that were shown on last Sunday and I don't know if I thought it was interesting because I like reality tv or because it was the Jacksons trying to make a comeback after their brother's passing. I don't think they are trying to make money off of Michael's name, then again if they are let it be the family making money off their loved one and not promoters, distribution companies, industry personnel, etc. I don't understand why its so wrong for the brothers to try to make a comeback when they all started out together with Michael in Gary, IN as the "Jackson 5", Michael decided to leave the group because he had other creative ideas. What's wrong with them making a comeback and show us if they can create a sound for themselves without Michael. I encourage the comeback and hope they are truly successful. Also is it me or is Jermaine trying to make the group and the show about him, with all the crying and divo attitude. Marlon seems so laid back and free-spirited, Tito seems like he's as cool as can be with the deep voice he may be the thug of the group, plus I think he's kind of cute, and Jackie seems like the protector, the nice guy, he's kind of cute too for an older guy. Long live the Jacksons!

The show was ok, but is it me or was Jermaine treating his wife like a slave? She was putting on his shoes and when she hugged him during the photo shoot, he told her "don't mess up my hair"!! Hurricane-force winds can pull a mighty oak tree up from the earth, but it will not mess up Jermaine's hair!!

I watched and thought it was a great show. The Jackson brothers showed they are human and have to right to move on with their lives. They began filming the series before Michael's death, but people forget The Jackson 5 aka The Jacksons is a legend. Yes Michael was the voice, but also understand these men were able to stay away from the temptations that bring down so many legends even the temptations that killed Michael. I don't believe that everyone in the family is trying to 'make' money off of Michael's death. They do have the right to move on with their lives.

a pathetic lame show i won't be watching, for the fact that they are milking michael's death for all its worth. just a sad family driven by fame and money period. no remorse that their brother died.

I will not be watching.

The reality series was already in the works before Michael died. They were all apart of the Jackson 5. So, they have the right to earn money.

thats disturbing that they think dr.murry might not be resposible. their brother died in his care to a drug he was not suppose to give him. even if that doctor didn't mean any harm he should be held accountible for that alone. giving him a drug he knew was illegal to give him. thats mal practice!!!! what is wrong with people what part don't they understand in that!!!! that doctor needs to be held accountible for that one illegal move that took the life of someone. thats plain in simple common sense. maybe(and that's a maybe) he's not guilty of 1st degree murder but he's diffenently guilty of something!!!!

How are they going to get the old sound back without Micheal? Huh?

We were not interested in them before Michael died why do they think we are now? How much longer are they going to sponge off his fame

Lol!

old and greasy. just pathetic.

Why is Randy not involved???

Um, I won't be watching.
