ABC's Robin Roberts has snagged a prime-time interview with pop-icon Janet Jackson. This will be the first long interview with Jackson since the death of her brother Michael Jackson.

The interview, which will be conducted in Jackson's home in California, is set to air on November 18. While details of the interview have not been released, it is speculated that Jackson will spend some time discussing Michael's legacy. She is also promoting her greatest hits album entitled Number Ones, slated for release on Tuesday November 17.

According to ABC, this is the first time Jackson has permitted television cameras inside her Malibu home.

Veena How do you know Janet is not making a difference in a charity? The real question is are you? You also seem to forget that the media(black and white) usually doesn't show people of color involved and donating to charities and when they do show us, we as a people tend to forget because we including me, are so caught up with how they look or who they are dating. We all need to do better and instead of judging others and how they are spending their money, we need to judge ourselves more so we can help charities and even help build schools in africa for girls.

Veena, Cee Gee and Shauna.
You're both right. It does seem like a shame that she is ready to speak out on her loss of Michael (ironically?) during the time when she is about to promote a CD as with Rhianna deciding to speak out (with that forced and "I'm so concerned about other little girl's going back to their abuser") staged cry by her entertainment machine, but guess what?
This business is not for news and information.
It's "entertainment."
Did you know that the very day that Michael died, Janet's entertainment machine were in-office preparing to send her out the gate even IF this was going to be one of her many every 3-4 year hiatuses that she goes on?
Did you ALSO know that if Janet died, Michael too, would have come from underneath his addicted abyss and pulled himself together to promote something and speak out on his pain and suffering over Janet as well?
The entertainment business is a game that, though they entertain, its biggest money maker RELIES on the cluelessness, enamorment, disillusionment and fascination of everyday people, who every entertainer that you yourself patronize and love, are taught from the MOMENT they become stars that they are (now) separate from YOU and everything they do, say or every appearance they make-should make them money. The biggest money maker at time of promoting something is to have a fight at a night-club, or by way of some post traumatic mean; to conjure up thoughts of past experiences and pain and/or suffering that they can hit the talk show circuit about and SELL THAT (album, book) or whatever it is they sell.
The entertainment business is a business that will ALWAYS make money because more people in the world are more fascinated and disillusioned in addition to "entertained" than they turn a deaf ear and tight pocket to.
The entertainment business has (down to a science) tried and tested the money it makes having entertainers promote "tragedies" when promoting something to sell and these methods always has and always will work. Even at the expense of their loved ones, family and friends.
Do you remember years ago Eve promoting her "Love is Blind" song-dragging her poor-looking homegirl all up on talk-shows long-faced; talking about her abuse?
Eve probably hasn't spoken to her since.
That's: business-I mean: "show-business."

Wow, I must agree with Veena & Cee Gee. Why is it that these people want to talk now that CD's are being released??? W O W!!! I love Janet, I really do but please can anyone explain to me what's really going on? Talk about your CD not the tragic death of your brother. This is unbelievable.

Wow! Its amazing how these celebs open up on their personal pain when its time to sell something. I expected this from Jermaine, LaToya, or Joe. But, et tu Janet? On the flip side, Rihanna is suddenly remembering her abuse and desiring to help other young women as her cd drop date approaches. This gimmick is old and tired. But, I must admit I want the new Janet hits cd. LOL!

Wow, Veena Naulsen, I wonder how many of these scathing remarks would you say to Janet's face. You may say you are not a hater, but guess what..... if it walks like a duck,... you know the rest! And I wander how many checks have you written to support programs for black girls transitioning from foster care!

Wow! Janet is so good at self happiness.
She knows how to make things happen when it benefits her. When do we ever see her except for when she's promoting Janet. Her music sucks, it always has. Yes, she's a beautiful girl, and she can dance but really yall, the girl can not sing. So what now she wants to talk about Michael, because she has a new CD releasin, off of the hills of This Is It. This girl has always been a fake to me, Im not a hater, just can see through the unrealness! Janet when will you take some time out of your fabulous life and make difference in a charity, like build a school in Africa for girls, or what about creating an after care support program for black girls transitioning from foster care. I know u can easly write a check, but Ive never seen you do a damn thing for anyone in need. So why should we continue to support her. Hooray Angelina Jolie for making a difference in the lives of colored folk.
