Chris Brown Take Shots at Wendy Williams on Twitter

wendyandchris_article_WEB.jpg

Looks like things are about to get even hotter in the Chris Brown/Rihanna war of words. Tomorrow Breezy will be making a special appearance on Wendy Williams' syndicated gabfest, ostensibly to debut the video for his new single "Crawl," from his upcoming album Graffiti. But we know the deal: Mister Can't-Keep-My-Hands-to-Myself is likely to use his time on Wendy's couch as a clumsy comeback to Rihanna's gripping appearance on '20/20' last week, in which the singer said that while Brown beat her he looked like he had no soul. What makes the whole spectacle even more bizarre is that only months ago, in September, Brown and Williams were engaged in a beef of their own.
Allegedly, Brown used his twitter account (he goes by the name Mechanical Dummy) to post a snide comment about Wendy looking like a man. On her show, Wendy fired back with "Well, you know what? At least if I was a man I would spend my time bullying other men, perhaps, and not other women!"
Perhaps the best line of the feud goes to JessiKaRabiit83 who posted on Perez Hilton's catty celebrity blog, "Wendy Williams is more of a man than Chris Brown will ever be." Meee to the owww! To tune into Wendy's show, check your local listing for time and channel.
On a side note: Rihanna will also be premiering her music video for 'Russian Roulette' tonight on ABC's '20/20'.

I am a subscriber of essence and visit the website frequently. I usually am very happy with the articles written, but this one did not sit right with me at all. We all know what Chris did was wrong. We also know what Rihanna did was wrong. Yet, you failed to mention that when you took a shot at Chris by stating "Mister Can't-Keep-My-Hands-to-Myself", and failed to cite Rihanna. Throughout all of your comments about this situation you have yet to say anything about Rihanna. Why? Is it because she a woman, and her pics are all over the place? Was that punishment enough? I'm not in any way condoning what Chris did, nor am I failing to realize the seriousness of domestic abuse, but come on! This all went down months ago, and although we can't forget. We can forgive. This was a young man who made a mistake, and is paying the price. He has to live with his actions everyday, without you all adding to the weight of his burden. Instead of hindering him, help him! For those that continue to harp on this situation..."Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Take a note from Will Smith, and other prominent people in our society and help him. It's bad enough the white people continue to call him a thug and bring him down, but does he have to continue to beaten down by his own people. Even the man on this month's cover, Steve Harvey, has said it is time to let it go and to take your foot off of this kid's neck. HE HAS LEARNED HIS LESSON! LET IT GO!

My god black people have their needle stuck in the groove. All they ever talk about is Rhianna, Beyanoce, and the Obamas. You people need another outlet..

Rhianna probably deserved a good pop. Some of these women need a good hand across the face. Should they be allowed to provoke men and we can't react?

Thanks black women for continuing to make excuses for black men who could care less about you! To say that they both abused each other? So what you are saying is that a man can beat a woman down, choke her, bust her face up and leave her to walk the streets alone, because the woman has verbally abused him??? No wonder so many young women think that this sh*t is normal. Good job Women continue to attack the woman in the situation and make excuses for the men, so they can keep beating your a**

Don't care about Rhianna or Chris situation. Let us move from old news to something fresh, clean and new.

Thank you

I like Wendy she tells it like it is. It's not her fault Chris Brown is a foolish boy! Yes not a man!

I agree that this article is biased journalism at its finest. It breaks my heart as a journalist to see this type of thing happen.

I don't condone anything that Chris Brown did on the night he and Rihanna got into this altercation. Who are we to judge him on what he has done? To further stomp his name into the ground in attempts to ether his career. When R.Kelly, who was caught on tape having sex with a minor, had his case all in the news the article was written very unbias. Instead of putting him down lets up lift the young brother and teach him how to treat a lady. I don't want to blame what he has done on what he has experienced in his home because despite all of that we all know what's right and what's wrong. The "Mister-Who-Can't-Keep-His-Hands-To-Himself" comment was very unnecessary, for this to be a magazine to uplift black people. How are we tearing each other down? To the writer, you must be perfect to call this young man out on sins? I'm so glad God made you perfect! With Rihanna and Chris going on tv to talk about that awful night, is nothing more to promote their albums. If Rihanna wanted to discuss her ordeal she should've done it when it happened and not wait until her album is getting ready to come out to gain more record sales. I think that her waiting 7 months to do this is a bad call on her staff and her part, the image that it paints for black men is not a good one because of course the media is going to jump all over this because it involves a young black man. The next thing you're going to hear is how the music influences this behavior. Essence grow up!

Maybe the writers on this website have not realised that many of us are Internet savvy and know whats going on. As usual this is old news and it should have been written, "Singer Chris Brown To Appear On The Wendy Williams Show." I told Wendy this morning that the urban media would get it all wrong and attempt to make something out of the whole thing to get viewers. "They just love creating drama when there is none."

This article is the pits. Essence is against the abuse of women. Understood. However, Chris and Rihanna abused each other. There has to be a balance here. Also, how can people continue to support R. Kelly and try to VOID Chris Brown. That's just not right. It is something wrong with this society. I still listen to Chris. I don't like that new transform you song bc its wack but if he comes out with something good..I'll buy it.

The "Mister-can't-keep-my-hands-to-myself" was NOT called for. As a matter of fact, Rihanna hit first. She was hitting him while in the vehicle. She admitted she did things but no one wants to call her out on her wrong doings, only Chris. The fact that they both grew up witnessing abuse in their households should make you sympathetic to BOTH Rihanna & Chris. They both are victims (b/c of their past) & they both need help. Rihanna is no more of a victim than Chris is & Chris is no more of a abuser than Rihanna. I'm sorry I even read this article.

This article was very biased and badly written. I hope that Essence reconsider this writer articles in the future. You may lose dedicated readers who enjoy your "usual" unbiased attempt in presenting the news.

I am a veracious reader of your website and I must say that I am very dissatisfied with the egregious allegations in this article. I would like to think that Essence prides themselves on being unbiased but this article fails to meet this standard. I found this article outright insulting to Chistopher Brown. I could expect something like this from Media Take Out but not the respectable authors from Essence. Please take this into consideration for any future articles you choose to publish on any incident. - Respectfully two disappointed subscribers. Good day!
