40 Of Our Favorite Female Grammy Winners

For our weekly celebration of the 40th anniversary of ESSENCE Magazine, as well as the upcoming Grammy Awards event held this Sunday, we take a look back at 40 of our favorite fabulous Black women who walked away with the grand prize, from beautiful jazz artist Ella Fitzgerald, the first African American woman to win a Grammy, to Beyonce, who is nominated for ten (count 'em, ten!)
