Married should stand the test of time. Does not matter if you're in the public or not. If your marriage is strong then there is nothing that can come between your unit.

wow! i've been a fan of Toni Braxton for years. I did'nt see this coming, that her and her husband would separate.

Just like everyone else she's a celebrity in the spotlight. once the media knows about who you are, they know everything. Well, marriages aren't easy at all ,but i wish her well, if this is what she wants.

Nobody knows if the kiss is the direct cause of their split so stop the speculation. I doubt if she kissed him on stage and that night her husband said, It's OVER! Things had to be on the rocks for her to even go there with this Tre Songz guy. I heard they were separated long before this even happened so she could have been sticking it to ol' hubbo to let him know, he wasn't man enough for her! LOL!

Only marriages that make it in Hollywood are the ones that stay out of the spotlight. Never will forget this one Sista telling me "It seems like Denzel always likes to keep his wife hidden, like he doesn't want her in the spotlight or something." My response? Exactly!!!!!! Smart man. And his wife?? Smart woman. Babyface said it years ago when he and Tracey were divorcing that "the more you have your marriage in the spotlight the more it gives people a chance to get all up in your business". Very few people understand the wisdom in that comment.

Toni is no different then any other woman. Please........... everyone keep that in mind. Stop putting women that are "celebs" on a pedestal. The only difference is that her/there business is broadcast.

I love reading all of my fellow Essence readers comments. They are celebrities so we can comment if we want to (for the people that don't like it). Separation is not divorce so maybe they will work it out. I'm sure they are both at fault a little, but it can't help that he quit Mint Condition (who still tour and make money) to "manage" Toni. She was working so hard (Broadway, Vegas) that she thought she had a heart attack! She had a reality show for a minute and disclosed she was renting a N.Y. apartment for $40,000 a month! Come on Toni, Broadway does not pay that much. Keri get a job, Toni, lengthen your skirts and maybe the two of you can maintain this relationship. Trey "Skid Marks" Songz go somewhere and sit your short self down, you're pitiful. It's not cute to insert yourself in a marriage. Toni, he wants publicity off of you. Drop this mess!

Yes it's true that Blacks in the US were slaves and it was illegal 2 teach blacks how 2 read and yes Blacks were treated bad during and after slavery ended. That was then & this is now. When u start 2 go thru some real tests & trials in life I wonder what will u do? About Toni Braxton's marriage ending ..it seems 2 me most celebrity marriages aren't based on anything except a photo op & an article in People Magazine

As a parent of a child with Autism, I am truly disappointed to hear that they are seperating. 80% of couples who give birth to a child with Autism ends in divorce... now her family is on the chopping block! For the sake of the family that they created I hope they know what they are doing. My husband and I are about to celebrate our 10th anniversary... mostly due to the committment that we have for each other AND the committment to our daughter who has been affected. I will keep them and their children in my thoughts and hope that either they reconcile or raise their family amicably so their children will not suffer.

No one really knows what goes on behind closed doors. And for those who think it was an act...come on now, 8 years ?!?! There could be numerous things that have caused it. Having a child with a disability will definitely put a strain on a marriage-remember she has a son that has Autism. Being the mother of a chid with this disability I know for a fact the strains it can put on a relationship. I think people need to sweep around their own front door before sweeping around someone elses. No one really knows what's going on except, Toni her husband and God. Leave it at that.
