Serena Williams Claps Back At Former Tennis Pro Who Made Racist Comment About Her Baby

The world's best athlete had a classy response to a crass remark made by Ilie Năstase. 

Serena Williams literally just made the announcement that she's pregnant a week ago, and already the ignorant have revealed themselves.

As reported by CNN, former tennis player Ilie Năstase shocked onlookers Friday when he openly speculated about the skin color of Williams' unborn child at a press conference.

"Let's see what color it has," the 70-year-old said. "Chocolate with milk?"

Serena, who's engaged to Armenian-American Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, was quick to clap back.

"It disappoints me to know we live in a society in which people like Ilie Nastase can make such racist comments towards myself and unborn child, and sexist comments against my peers," she said on Instagram.

"I have said it once and I'll say it again, this world has come so far but yet we have so much further to go. Yes, we have broken down so many barriers —however there are a plethora more to go. This or anything else will not stop me from pouring love, light and positivity into everything that I do. I will continue to take a lead and stand up for what's right."

For the record, Serena won her 23rd Grand Slam title while pregnant a few weeks ago. Năstase only won two in his entire career.
