The ladies and fellas can both get excited for upcoming film, A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night coming to theaters soon.

As reported by Shadow and Act, the upcoming film, which is being produced by writer and director Qasim Basir, will star Omari Hardwick and Meagan Good as the leads.

Hardwick will star as Cass, a Los Angeles club promoter (sounds like a familiar Ghost on Power to us), who meets Free (Good) on 2016's fateful election night. After Cass' dreams are deferred post-election, Free will help inspire and uplift him.

"Friday was my first speaking role, so I was excited, very nervous," Good said about her first foray into Hollywood on ESSENCE's podcast, Yes! Girl

"But after that I'm like, 'Alright, it's game time. I have to show people what I'm capable of, I have to get a leading role in a movie, and I have to show that I can do drama.'"

Adding, "When Eve's Bayou came around I had literally did the table reading for Casey Lemons, when I was ten. And the script didn't actually get made until three, four years later. So by then I was like, 'I have to be Cisely! I will do everything in my power to be Cisely.' And then I ended up getting it, by the grace of God."

Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night is being produced by Datari Turner. Hardwick and Good stepped in as executive producers for the film as well. Jay Ellis (Insecure), Dijon Talton, Wesley Jonathan and Affion Crockett will also star in the film.
