In 1995, the actor married the love of his life Pam Byse and ever since, the two have kept their private life as exactly that. “I have been with my wife for a number of years now and the number one thing that keeps us strong is a mutual respect; that is first and foremost,” Chestnut told ESSENCE in 2014 of his rock solid relationship.

Actor Denzel Washington has been a happily married man since 1984. The Academy Award winner met his wife Pauletta on the set of his first TV film, Wilma. The Washington's are parents of 4 including Ballers star John David Washington. In 2014, the actor spilled on a Reddit AMA that his secret to marriage has nothing to do with Hollywood's bright lights. "I just think that you have to work at it. Not give up on each other. It's a commitment. It's not all the honeymoon, it doesn't last forever, so you work at it. And hopefully you're good friends first, that might help!"

Singer Fantasia married her husband, Kendall Taylor, in a secret ceremony in 2015 but knew after three weeks that he was the man she wanted. “Everything changed when I met him,” she told Billboard. “I just knew [he was the one]. I was getting ready to go on the road, and he got on his knees and said, ‘Can I pray for you?
