This is the most heartwarming thing we’ve seen this week. The Internet is celebrating a teacher from Sao Paulo, Brazil who recreated her student’s hairstyle after the child was bullied for having textured hair.
In a March 17 Facebook post, Ana Barbra Ferreira recalls the moment when one of her students told her that a boy called her hair ugly.
According to BBC, the translation reads: “Yesterday, my student told me there was a boy saying that her hair was ugly. She was very sad. At that moment, the only thing I could tell her was that she was wonderful and shouldn’t care about what he was saying.”
To show further solidarity, Ferreira showed up to school the next day, rocking the same hairstyle: two kinky ponytails sectioned off with a middle part.

Ferreira added, “Today, I woke up and remembered what happened and decided to wear the same hairstyle she used to wear. When she saw me, she came running to hug me and say that I was beautiful, and I told her: Today I’m beautiful like you.!”
The precious post has since been shared over 30,000 times and like by 148,000 people. This educator is definitely “Teacher of the Year” material. Where do we drop our ballot?!
