What does it take for our favorite stars to slip so effortlessly into those glittering red carpet dresses and other sleek styles? Sure plenty of laps in the gym, spin classes and maybe even some yoga—but a few delicious (and healthy!) smoothies certainly contribute to the cause.
As it turns out, celebs really are just like us. They enjoy a good fruit-filled concoction as much as we do and here’s a look at some favorites from Gabrielle Union, Venus Williams and Kerry Washington.

Gabrielle Union’s Get Zen Smoothie
What’s Gabby’s go-to post workout snack? In addition to a healthy acai bowl, the actress enjoys a sweet smoothie made with hearty ingredients like vanilla whey, almond milk and almond butter. It’s the ideal cold treat after a tough gym session or, in Wade’s case, an intense game.

5 oz. almond milk
1 cup blueberries
1 handful baby spinach

1 tbsp. chia seeds
1 tbsp. almond butter
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1 tbsp. raw agave
Add ingredients in above order to juicer. Blend until smooth and serve immediately.
Venus Williams’ Fave Kale Orange Power Smoothie
Go figure, the tennis star loves Jamba Juice too! Super committed to juicing, Venus starts every day off with some type of green drink. “If I could live off green juice and smoothies I’d be extremely happy—well, and candy, too,” Williams told reporters at a fitness conference in Santa Monica. One of her favorites from the chain is full of orange juice and bananas—which makes the kale-based drink 10x sweeter and more approachable than other green varieties.
Fun fact: This drink is gluten-free and contains a healthy dose of manganese—which builds healthy bone structure, bone metabolism and helps to create essential enzymes for keeping you strong. Basically it’s a work out in a cup!
Kerry Washington’s Go-To Glowing Green Smoothie
The Scandal star (and pregnant mama!) frequently pops by nutritionist-to-the-stars Kimberly Snyder’s Glow Bio juice bar in Los Angeles to sip on one nutrient-packed green smoothie, according to People.com. Although spinach takes center stage in this sip, the drink is also sweetened with enough apple, pear and banana to feel like a tasty indulgence.
