Black love reigned supreme in Monaco this week when some of Hollywood's biggest celebrity couples made their way there to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of Cookie and Magic Johnson. The retired NBA star and entrepreneur gave his wife the surprise of her life when he organized a black tie affair on the Yacht Club de Monaco with over 100 of their famous friends to honor their special day.
Before the anniversary turn-up the couple enjoyed some quiet time in Venice, Italy with a gondola ride and other fun tourist attractions the city offered. Little did Cookie know at the time, she would also be surprised by her family and friends in Monaco.
The couple who were married in 1991 celebrated their milestone wedding anniversary with their three children and some of their closest friends.
An array of famous faces made their way to Monaco to partake in a celebration of love in honor of the couple. Steve and Majorie Harvey, Samuel and LaTanya Jackson, LL Cool J and his wife Simone, Smokey Robinson and his wife, Bill Bellamy and his wife, Emmitt Smith and Pat Smith, Tina Knowles Lawson and Richard Lawson, Vanessa Bell Calloway and her husband, Kevin and Erica Lyles and many more.
The year is not even over but guests are already coining the special occasion as "the party of the year". Attendees danced until the wee hours of the morning as they rode around the French Riveria and enjoyed chilled Moet from a piano and dined on elegant "C" shaped tables in honor of Cookie. The couple even enjoyed a slow dance to Luther Vandross' "The Closer I Get to You." Magic Johnson spared no expense or detail for their special day.
We don't know how any one could leave that yacht without falling in love all over again. See more pictures of the fabulous anniversary by following their hashtag #EC25
