Despite their looming divorce, Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey took to Instagram to honor what would have been their sixth wedding anniversary, proving that while their marriage may have been bumpy, they still have love for each other.
Bailey posted a wedding photo and shared, “We were friends first.” A few months ago, Bailey revealed that she and Thomas were getting a divorce. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star told E! during ESSENCE Fest, “I still root for him. I want him to win. I still love and support him. We are just not going to be married anymore.”
Thomas also honored their anniversary with a photo captioned, “July 24 is a day that will forever be a part of me.”
Last week, Thomas told Wendy Williams that the couple had separated, but he was surprised by the divorce. “We were separated for about five or six months. I think I’ve only seen Cynthia once – because I’m in Charlotte and she’s in Atlanta.” When asked if he had ever cheated on Bailey, his response was, “Never. Never. Never.”
Their marriage may not have worked, but it’s quite clear that there’s still love between the two.
