On Wednesday, the Democrats staged a sit-in demanding action and reform on gun violence that continued into Thursday.
After being interrupted in a meeting by a phone call from his mother, Congressman Keith Ellison promptly joined the House Democrats’ gun control protest. He shared the note his scheduler slipped him on his Facebook.
After joining the protest, Ellison began live tweeting the sit-in from the chamber, only stepping away briefly to fulfill a prior engagement before returning to the protest.
