The remaining hosts of The Real have finally opened up with their thoughts on Tamar Braxton’s abrupt exit from the show in their first group interview.
It’s been just barely over one month since the surprising news of Tamar’s firing broke and although Tamar herself began speaking out with her side of things almost immediately, her former co-hosts remained relatively quiet apart from a few social media posts here and there (some of which have since been deleted.)
Breaking their silence in a candid new interview with Extra TV‘s Mario Lopez, co-hosts Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housely said they were just as stunned as everyone else when they learned that Tamar had been fired. “First of all, we want to let all of our fans know that we love them,” Loni said in response to Mario’s question on how they felt about Tamar no longer being apart of the show. “We were totally taken by surprise when we found out that Tamar wouldn’t be returning to The Real. We love her.”

Adrienne also chimed in to agree when Mario recalled how well all of the ladies seemed to have gotten along prior to Tamar’s exit, while Tamera closed out the group’s quick commentary on the topic with a simple “we miss her dearly.”

The Real cast also talked up hosting the ESSENCE Day Party at the the Sugar Mill in New Orleans on July 2. “You guys know we love to have a good time,” said Adrienne Bailon, “so we’re excited for everybody to come out and have a good time.” You can also catch the four ladies hosting a live chat session as part of the Empowerment Experience at our ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans (kicking off in just one week!) The chat will be free of charge and open to the public. For more information, click here.
