A mid-tempo track with an easy-listening feel to it, "Equal" hears Chrisette reminding the man in her life that she brings just as much to their relationship as he does. "Baby, pump them brakes. I'm equal, I'm half of you. The ego, don't look good on you," she sings on the song's chorus.
