'Hamilton' Makes History with 16 Tony Nominations

Broadway hit Hamilton broke more records at yesterday's Tony Award nominations.

The Broadway hit, that everyone's trying to get tickets to, nabbed a record-breaking 16 nominations including Best Musical, Best Director, and Best Score. Hamilton beat the record set by The Producers and Billy Elliot, which were both tied for most nominations with 15.

With so many nominations that leaves a few actors on the show competing against each other in two categories: Best Performance By An Actor In A Featured Role In A Musical and Best Performance By An Actor In A Leading Role In A Musical. Altogether, seven actors from the hit hip-hop musical were recognized for their talent.
