Since "Formation" dropped, Beyoncé has given fans a stellar Super Bowl performance, a world tour announcement and a cute activewear line, but what fans have really been waiting for is her album.
Saturday, Queen Bey and HBO released a teaser for Lemonade, set to premiere April 23 at 9p.m. ET. No further details were released and no one knew what to make of it. Beyoncé, the queen of cryptic, didn't release a statement or reveal anything on her social platforms. The world is left to wonder.
Then, yesterday, Bey dropped another look at Lemonade. This time we got a 30-second clip with Bey asking, "Why can't you see me?" Lemonade looks to be another HBO exclusive from Bey with the channel having aired her 2013 documentary Beyoncé: Life Is But A Dream and her and husband Jay Z's tour special On The Run Tour: Beyoncé and Jay Z. The singer may have also dropped hints a while back about something lemon related, but at the time we all just thought it was Bey being Bey.
So, what does she have up her sleeve? There's a rumor floating around that Lemonade is an album film, which would be the perfect next step after her surprise 2013 visual album Beyoncé, but you never know with Bey. The best thing to do is just wait and let the Queen do her thing.
