Radio Personality Doug Banks Passes Away at 57

The well-known personality passed away from complications with diabetes. Rest in Peace, Doug.

Radio and TV personality Doug Banks has passed away from complications with diabetes at the age of 57.

Banks was a well-known host with stints at several stations, including Chicago's V103, WGCI, and ABC7's "190 North."

After kicking off his career at his high school radio station in Detroit, Michigan, Banks went on to host radio shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and finally Chicago. The legendary radio man became a nationwide success when ABC Radio Network offered him a syndicated show.

Following word of Banks' passing, V103 Chicago took to Facebook to share the following message, "With a heavy heart, we share the news with you that Doug Banks has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very difficult time. Rest in peace our good friend, you will be greatly missed."

Clearly, Banks, who is survived by two college-aged daughters, touched the lives of many.
