The happily married couple tell Oprah why they nicknamed their mini-van the "shaggin' wagon".
When you’re married with kids and looking for a little alone time, sometimes you have to get really creative. Actress Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, former NFL star Rodney Peete, took their love on the road—literally.
The Peetes call it their “shaggin’ wagon,” and on this week's episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?, Oprah sits down with the Hollywood power couple to find out more and dish about their upcoming OWN reality show, For Peete’s Sake.
But wait…What about that “shaggin’ wagon”? When Oprah asked, their answer was hilariously honest.
“Well you see what happens after 20 years, is the opportunities to be intimate decrease, and so as a result you have to find other creative methods to get it in, so to speak,” explains Robinson Peete. “One night we went on a little mini-van run, and we got a little sexy in it, and we decided that this was a nice little break away from the house.”
“We can’t be spontaneous like we used to,” Peete adds. Aww. Way to keep it exciting, you two.
On their new reality show, the couple, who have four children, including 18 year-old R.J., who is autistic, aim to provide insight on both the challenges and the blessings that come to a special needs family.
Tune in Saturday, March 12 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on OWN to watch the rest of their interview with Oprah.
