Karrine Steffans Talks Slut-Shaming: 'Sexual Pasts Have Nothing to Do with Worth and Purpose'

Karrine Steffans says you wouldn't judge Oprah and Maya Angelou's past they way you judge hers.

Karrine Steffans has had to live with her past as a video vixen thrown back at her as an insult. On any given day you'll find her speaking up for victims of sexual abuse and defending women against slut-shaming.

Steffans recently hit back at those on Twitter who used her past to diminish her accomplishments reminding followers that two of the most iconic women in history, Oprah and Maya Angelou, have faced sexual abuse. She tweeted:

You revere great women but give no credit to their sexual traumas and repercussions for making them stronger, better, wiser women.

Adding,

Is It Time To Look Beyond Karrine Steffans' Video Vixen Past?

Steffans went on to explain that both women have difficult pasts and many successful women do and that it shouldn't be what defines them.

These women are the best proof that where we start isn't always how we end up and that sexual pasts have nothing to do with worth & purpose.
