We know #OscarsSoWhite, but so far the first group of presenters and performers are not. Kevin Hart, Whoopi Goldberg and Pharrell Williams are among the celebrities announced as presenters at this year's Academy Awards.
David Hill and Reginald Hudlin, producers for the upcoming show, made the announcement on Thursday afternoon.
“Each of these artists brings a wonderfully distinctive element to the Oscars stage,” said Hill and Hudlin in a statement. “Together they represent the many thrilling ways stories can be shared about the human experience, and we’re honored they will be part of the celebration.”
The Weeknd is slated to perform during the telecast. The Canadian R&B singer is up for Best Original Song for "Earned It" from Fifty Shades of Grey.
Additional presenters include Tina Fey, Ryan Gosling, Benicio del Toro, Charlize Theron and Jacob Tremblay. Both Lady Gaga and Sam Smith were also announced as performers.
With Chris Rock as host, the 2016 Academy Awards airs Sunday February 28 at 7 p.m. on ABC.
