President Obama to Hold Town Hall on Gun Violence

The President will address the nation on the controversy of guns and discuss pontential reform tactics. 

CNN announced that Anderson Cooper will host President Obama on Thursday in a special town hall discussion regarding guns.

The exclusive event titled, "Guns in America," will foster dialogue between the President and the audience on gun control, potential reform tactics and other pressing issues. 

An administrative official described in an email that the one-hour event will be a discussion geared towards "reducing gun violence in America."

President Obama revealed on New Year's day his plans to sit down with Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Monday to discuss tougher restriction laws for American's access to firearms. 

"Guns in America" will air on CNN Thursday at 8 p.m.
