Freddie Gray's Mother Attempts Suicide, Reports Say

Sources say Gloria Darden, mother of the late Freddie Gray, tried to end her life Wednesday night.

WJZ, CBS Baltimore radio station reports that Gloria Darden, mother of the late Freddie Gray, tried to end her life Wednesday night

Alledgedly, a call was made at approximately 9:35pm for a person in need of medical attention in North Baltimore. Sources say that Darden was taken to a nearby hospital but did not undergo surgical procedures or receive stitches, as she sustained only surface level wounds.

The Gray family lawyer, Billy Murphy, released a statement Thursday saying that Darden "is still mourning the loss of her son." In September, Darden received $6.4 million in a wrongful death settlement with the city.
