Serena Williams truly wins at everything she does.
First, she nailed a 33-game Grand Slam winning streak, then she had a successful run at the U.S. Open, then rocked the fashion world with her own show during New York Fashion Week, and she was just named to Harper Bazaar's Daring List, celebrating women who "live by their own rules."
And that she does!
Williams, who picked up her first tennis racket when most people are still learning the alphabet, told the magazine that she defined "daring" as taking risks—but doing so wisely.
"Think of amazing women like Sheryl Sandberg and Oprah Winfrey—they're daring, but they're not jumping off a building without a parachute, you know?" she said. "You have to be smart about it. You can't be afraid to be a pioneer and take a chance and speak up and just be bold."
