She beat both Angela Bassett (for American Horror Story) and Mo'Nique (for Bessie) in the 'Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie' category. Talk about talent!

In King's acceptance speech, she sent love to her son, Ian—"the best date in the house!"—and her mother and grandmother "who have taught me the power and the blessing of being a woman."
