Claiming it violates the app’s community guidelines surrounding nudity, Instagram has banned the term “#curvy” from the search function and curvy women and bloggers are not pleased.

If you rely on your Instagram feed for #curvy fashion inspirations, sorry that page is no longer available. Instagram has now added the body-positive hashtag to their list of officially banned search terms leaving users who frequently use and search it puzzled and upset.

According to Buzzfeed, an Instagram spokesperson said the hashtag will no longer be searchable because “it was being used to share images and videos that violated Instagram’s community guidelines around nudity.”

Instagram users, popular curvy fashion blogger and body image activists have all taken to Twitter and Instagram to express outrage over the fact that #curvy was banned, while #fat #thin #dildo #clitoris and #bitch, among others, are still readily available on search.

Those who are not in support of the decision have begun using #curvee, #stillcurvy, #bringcurvyback, and #youcanttakemycurves instead in response, reports Buzzfeed.
