Happy Friday! Here's what we're gabbing about over our coffee as we head into the weekend:

It's official. Nick Cannon has filed for divorce from Mariah Carey, taking the first legal step in finalizing their break-up. Cannon quietly filed the paperwork on December 12, a few days after Carey performed at the tree-lighting event in Rockefeller Center. Carey, meanwhile, is gearing up for a Vegas residency in the summer months. Carey and Cannon were married for six years and have two young children together. No word yet on how they'll settle custody over their twins. [TMZ]

YaYa DaCosta, star of the upcoming Whitney Houston biopic, has launched an Instagram campaign, #ImEveryWoman, to pay homage to the women who inspire her. "I wanted to celebrate how Whitney always embraced sisterhood and do a photo series in the spirit of her song, 'I'm Every Woman,'" DaCosta wrote. "This week, I'm paying homage to eight other women who inspire me and I'm inviting us all to celebrate seeing ourselves in each other-no matter what color we are or where we come from. #ImEveryWoman."
