Plus: Nicki Minaj sets album release date, Bill Cosby cancels his appearance on the Queen Latifah Show, Mo'Ne Davis featured in Teen Vogue, and Issa Rae stars in New York Times video series.

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween! Here are some tricks and treats to get you through the day.

A month ago, we learned that chef Carla Hall launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund a Southern-style restaurant in New York. Well, it looks like she's reached her goal and then some! The campaign has raised $264,703 from over 1,550 pledges. "I could have gone with hedge fund guys but I wanted to be in control," Hall told the Associated Press. "It's like you're not in it by yourself. It's one thing to have partners, but it's another thing to have affirmation by the community that, 'Yes, we want this.'" With this money and help from investors and business partners, The Chew co-host will open Carla Hall's Southern Kitchen by summer 2015 where New Yorkers can enjoy Nashville-inspired hot fried chicken with authentic southern sides. That's a tasty accomplishment. [Associated Press]

The wait is over for all of you Barbz out there! Nicki Minaj announced on Instagram last night that her highly anticipated album, The Pink Print, will be released December 15. Just in time for Christmas! The rapper also appears to be taking a leaf out of Beyonce's book. In addition to the traditional CD, Minaj may be releasing a visual album as well. No word yet on whether there will be a video to go with every track but the rapper did mention in her reveal that this project will be "a Khalilkavon Visual." [Hello Beautiful]

The world can't seem to get enough of Mo'Ne Davis, the Little League superstar who pitched a shutout at the Little League World Series and appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The 13-year-old icon is featured in the November issue of Teen Vogue looking stylish and inspiring. In the issue, she explains that despite all of the fame, she's just like any other girl her age. "Seeing my pitching, you'd think I'm a really serious person--but I'm actually kind of goofy! I like to laugh!" Davis also enjoys eating, listening to Beyonce, and being silly with her friends when she's not excelling in baseball, football, and basketball. Is there nothing she can't do? [Teen Vogue]

Bill Cosby has reportedly canceled his upcoming appearance on The Queen Latifah Show. Cosby has been put back into an unflattering spotlight after allegations that he sexually abused at least 13 different women and girls have resurfaced. Comedian Hannibal Buress called Cosby a "rapist" during his set in Philadelphia earlier this month. Days later, actress Barbara Bowen came forward claiming that Cosby repeatedly raped her when she was 17 years old. Cosby was never charged with any form of assualt although he did reach a settlement outside of court with one of his accusers. [The Grio]
