Beyoncé fans aren’t the only ones anxiously awaiting tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards performances. Usher is also on the lineup, and he’s promising his fans something he’s never done before.
In a recent interview with MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway, the VMAs veteran discussed his upcoming third solo performance at the show.
“All I wanted to give my fans is the UR experience,” Usher said.
He went on to applaud the show’s production team for allowing him to bring his best yet to the show. “Everybody, all of the executives, all of my creative people and team, they’ve been on-board and the VMAs really did give me an opportunity to paint an incredible picture. But it is expansive, it does feel like nothing I’ve done before.”
The sexy singer, who plans to release his eighth album later this year, said the show isn’t about competing with other performers. “I never approached this show — others yeah, but not this show, that I should go out here and try to beat someone else,” he added. “I just feel like I need to go out here and give it my all and enjoy it.”
Well, we can’t wait to see what the “Good Kisser” has planned for us. Are you tuning in to tonight’s awards show?
