ESSENCE Poll: How Green Are You?

Happy Earth Day!

The first Earth Day demonstrations took place almost 45 years ago to fight for air, water, and wildlife protections after the worst oil spill in U.S. history took place in Santa Barbra, CA.

Today our struggle with climate change makes Earth Day just as important now as it was then.

President Obama and his administration will continue to promote his Climate Action Plan today throughout the country by leading various talks on the impact climate change will have on our farms and food supply. 

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will also honor schools across the country today than have made strong efforts to increase their green footprint and educate their students about climate change and the environment. 

We want to know how much of an effort you're making to to be eco-friendly. How green are you?
