Here's why we're opting for hot chocolate this morning:

  • Beyonce has dropped a line of underwear inspired by the single "Mine" from her hit album Beyonce. The black and pink undies are labeled "Mine" and "Yours." Perfect for a Valentine's gift, the box set features matching underwear for all types of couples, including a boxer-boxer set as well as a boyshort-boyshort set. Customers can personalize their sets by selecting the type of underwear, the "Yours" and "Mine" label and the sizes. The collection is going for $40 and can be purchased on Beyonce's website. • Hundreds gathered in Miami Florida for the Trayvon Martin Peace Rally to remember and pay their respects to Martin and his family on the second anniversary of his death. Jamie Foxx attended the rally and spoke about his dedication to remembering Trayvon. Foxx was joined by the family of Martin who shared what life has been like without their slain son, who would have just turned 19 years old. [NYDailyNews]

  • Diahann Carroll has withdrawn from the upcoming Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun. Carroll's role as the family matriarch, Lena Younger, would have been her return to Broadway after a 30-year hiatus. LaTanya Richardson Jackson, wife of actor Samuel Jackson, is set to replace her in the spring show. Her departure is said to be due to the vigorous rehearsal and performance schedule. The play, starring Denzel Washington, Anika Noni Rose and Sophie Okonedo will open on April 3. [HollywoodReporter]

  • Lauryn Hill canceled a New Jersey show Friday after coming down with a stomach virus. The performance was rescheduled from a show that was canceled in December.  Her rep made sure to inform fans that although she appeared fine during a Beatles tribute on The Late Show With David Letterman that aired Friday, she was indeed sick. "For clarity, her performance on The Late Show With David Letterman was pre-recorded on Thursday, not on Friday when it aired." her rep said. [E!Online]
