Tyler Perry is on a roll these days. Not only does he grace the June cover of ESSENCE with Oprah Winfrey, but he's got two new TV shows premiering this month on OWN. The famed director will debut the drama, The Haves and the Have Nots, and the light-hearted comedy, Love Thy Neighbor.
The former is a sexy, mysterious and scandalous series starring Tika Sumpter, John Schneider, Aaron O'Connell and Crystal Fox. "The rich get richer, and the poor… they get even," says Perry in the trailer. It begins airing on OWN May 28 at 9 p.m.
Love Thy Neighbor tells the story of a working-class family, and their day-to-day life. The comedy stars Patrice Lovely as Hattie Mae Love from many of his stage plays. It also co-stars Andre Hall, Darmirra Brunson, Jonathan Chase, Kendra C. Johnson and Palmer Williams Jr. Check out the sneak peek for the comedy below. It begins airing on OWN on May 29 at 9 p.m.
