Must-See: President Obama Plays Daniel Day-Lewis in 'Lincoln' Spoof

Comments

At Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner, Steven Spielberg revealed plans to create a new presidential biopic similar to Lincoln entitled Obama.

In the short video spoof, the director explained how he came up with the idea.

"Well I was thrilled that Lincoln was a success and, as I was thinking about what to do next, in the middle of the night I woke up and it hit me: Obama!" joked Spielberg in the clip. "I mean, the guy's already a lame duck, so why wait?"

Lincoln star Daniel Day-Lewis was hand-picked by Spielberg to play President Obama. It's soon revealed that it's actually President Obama playing Day-Lewis' version of him in the spoof. There's even a special appearance by Tracy Morgan, who plays Vice President Joe Biden.

Watch the video spoof above and tell us what you think.
