Beyoncé has been named honorary chair of this year's Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, reports Women's Wear Daily.
The celeb's name attached to the invite is causing a stir, just as she did last year showing up last minute wearing a sheer Givenchy feathered gown (see photo).
Beyoncé will join co-chairs Rooney Mara, Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, Moda Operandi's Lauren Santo Dominigo and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour at this year's event. It's not yet known if the ESSENCE Festival headliner will greet entering guests for the punk-rock themed celebration planned for May 6.
Beyoncé is scheduled to begin her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in Serbia on April 15.
