Coffee Talk: Michelle Obama to Attend Hadiya Pendleton's Funeral

• First Lady Michelle Obama will attend slain teen Hadiya Pendleton's funeral tomorrow. The King College Prep student was fatally shot in a park blocks away from her school one afternoon after exams. Her murder has since garnered national attention. "As a mother and Chicagoan, the First Lady was heartbroken to learn of the tragic loss of Hadiya Pendleton due to senseless gun violence," said Kristina Schake, communications director for Michelle Obama. "Too many times, we've seen young people struck down with so much of their lives ahead of them. The First Lady is traveling to her funeral on Saturday to offer her condolences and support ot Hadiya's family and loved ones." [Chicago Tribune]

• The 2013 Grammy Awards are going to great lengths to ensure no wardrobe malfunctions. CBS, the network airing the awards show on Sunday, sent out an email asking attendees to avoid wearing sheer dresses that may expose normally covered areas, thongs and more. Here's a snippet of the email sent out: "Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic…" [Deadline]

• Comedian Cedric the Entertainer may be the new host of ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He's reportedly in the process of inking a deal. Previously recorded episodes featuring Meredith Vieira will continue to run through May, with repeats in the summer. Cedric, if he takes the job, will begin taping his episodes in September. • Clive Davis says his annual pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, on the one-year anniversary of Whitney Houston's death, will be very special. He says he'll do something that will "remind everybody that her talent lived among us and in so many people." As for details about the show he said, "It's a different kind of opening. The opening has never been done before, with the kind of music that's unprecedented." [People]
