• According to TIME, Usher had another hit on his hand this year. The R&B singer's single "Climax" was ranked the best song of the year. It beat out Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" and Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Whose song did you love this year? [TIME]

• Alicia Keys's Keep A Child Alive Black Ball raised $1.3 million last night. The swanky event hosted at the Apollo Theater saw the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Whoopi Goldberg and Gayle King and honored Oprah Winfrey. Billionaire Stewart Rahr bid $250,000 on a trip to South Africa with Alicia Keys. He also pledged $1 million to the foundation. [E! Online]

• The 57th Presidential Inauguration schedule has been set. President Obama will be sworn in during a private ceremony on Sunday, January 20. He will be sworn in again before the public on Monday, January 21. The event will follow with a number of balls and a parade. [The Root]

• Robin Roberts invited her Good Morning America family over to her New York apartment to spread holiday cheer last night. George Stephanopoulus and a number of others helped Roberts decorate her tree. An insider said, "Robin has very much to be grateful for, and she is grateful for all the well wishes she has gotten from the GMA family and viewers." [Radar Online]

• Michelle Obama was nominated for a Grammy yesterday. The First Lady was recognized in the spoken-word category for her book American Grown. She said in a statement, "This nomination is such an honor, not just for me, but for everybody who contributed to the garden and the audio book, from the National Parks Service employees to our White House chefs to our beekeeper."
