  • Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt is unstoppable. On Thursday, the Jamaican athlete became the first Olympian to ever win back-to-back gold medals in the 100-meter and 200-meter races. He sprinted across the finish line in just 19.32 seconds, earning his fifth gold medal. [People]

  • The birth mother to Michael Jackson's three children has voiced her opinion on the current Jackson family custody battle. According to TMZ, Debbie Rowe filed legal papers saying she supports the joint guardianship between Katherine and TJ Jackson but will intervene if needed. The paper warns, "Should the arrangement sought by TJ Jackson and Katherine Jackson become untenable, unstable, unsafe, or in any way contrary to the best interests of the children, Ms. Rowe will seek court intervention."   • Beasts of the Southern Wild actress Quvenzhane Wallis, 8, has landed her next film role alongside Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt in Twelve Years a Slave. The movie takes place in the mid-1800s and follows a free man that was kidnapped and sold into slavery. [Black Celebrity Kids]

  • Spelman College is looking to recruit two-time gold medalist Gabby Douglas. The president of Spelman College, Beverly Daniel Tatum, traveled to London to congratulate the gymnast and give her a Spelman gift bag. Tatum released a statement to TMZ saying, "A young woman who has demonstrated the drive and discipline needed to achieve world-class excellence is likely to have what it takes to be successful at Spelman, and we would welcome her interest in the college." [TMZ]

  • Fans of the late Whitney Houston can look forward to a greatest hits album this fall. RCA Records will produce the record but a release date, title and track list have yet to be announced. Reports say the compilation album will span music from Whitney's entire career. [Billboard
