As the natural hair movement gains new curly-haired followers each day, writer Zina Saro-Wiwa decided to pick up her video camera and tell the story of how and why Black women are embracing their textured tresses. What started out as a documentary project turned into a channel for self-discovery when Saro-Wiwa decided to shave off her own relaxed hair and start her transitioning journey.
