Walk the Walk: Mary Mary on Finding Your Purpose

Comments
Mary Mary Good Day La
Since you were born into this world, you are automatically forced to go through this thing called life.  Our parents and society have pretty much laid out for us the direction that we’re supposed to go, as they see fit. We all pretty much start out being good little boys and girls working hard in school, going to a good college, getting a job, buying a house, getting married, having kids and raising them right and then we retire.

Now, I don’t know about you but our lives took a lot more turns, forks and bends than what is listed above. For some of us, those destinations weren’t even options on our road of life. Bottom line is this: regardless of the turns and bends in on your life’s road, the foundation of our paths is cemented by the same principle. We have all been created in His image and designed for a unique purpose.

Make no mistake about it, God has a plan and purpose for your life. His plans are unique and specific to each one of us individually. In the grand scheme of things, we all share one common purpose: to let our lives bring glory to God. But the way in which we do that is what defines our unique purpose.

One of the most difficult parts of life lies in discovering how we can best live out our purpose.  A lot of times we get caught up in not knowing which way to turn  and not having a clear way to change our current/present circumstances, which causes distraction to our true calling. The longer we stay in that place, the more likely we are to end up sentencing ourselves to a life without real purpose and fulfillment. Time doesn’t do anything but pass and if not careful we will have lived a life of regret, worry, depression and anxiety. It's that outlook that limits our potentials and abilities.

God wants us to keep going, to keep pushing, to keep moving forward. Yes, it's easier said than done sometimes. Trust us, we know. God promised that anything is possible. He didn’t promise it was going to be easy!

Life is going to happen regardless. So you might as well put your blinders on and pack up your mustard seed and go get it!
