The First Lady, Iman and more land TIME's fashion icons list.
Today TIME Magazine released their picks of the top 100 fashion icons since the publication's inception in 1923. Models, muses, designers, photographers, editors and stylists make the list, of which include a few influential African Americans.
Former supermodels Beverly Johnson, Iman and Naomi Campbell are recognized as industry pioneers on the model front, while Michelle Obama, Josephine Baker and Michael Jackson are crowned muses for their impact on style. In the editors category, Pulitzer Prize winning fashion critic Robin Givhan was spotlighted for her keen eye and contributions to the publishing industry. Check out who else made the cut.
