Viola Daivs 43rd Naacp Awards
The hottest stars gathered in Hollywood last night for the 2012 NAACP Image Awards, hosted by Sanaa Lathan and Anthony Mackie. It was a night to celebrate the top moments in the arts this year, as well as paying tribute to pop legend Whitney Houston, who passed away just last week.

As expected, The Help received the highest honors of the evening, including the Outstanding Actress prize for Viola Davis, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Octavia Spencer, and Outstanding Motion Picture. In the Television category, both Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Tracee Ellis Ross walked away with statues for their parts in Reed Between the Lines, their new sitcom on BET, while Tyler Perry's House of Payne took top comedy series. Jennifer Hudson won big last night by snagging the Outstanding Album award for I Remember Me, and Outstanding Music Video for "Where You At."

Throughout the evening, the NAACP Image Awards presented heart-wrenching tributes to Whitney Houston, including Kirk Franklin's rendition of "Greatest Love of All" and Yolanda Adams' powerhouse performance of "I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry."
