The singer has been approached by producers to join the judging panel on the new season of The X Factor, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

After the first U.S. version of the British talent show debuted to lower ratings than expected, the show’s creator, Simon Cowell, fired fellow judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger when the show wrapped — leaving two open seats on the panel for the new season.

It was initially reported that Beyonce was offered a judging seat for a whopping $100 million, but Cowell quickly debunked the claims, saying the rumors are entirely untrue. Mariah Carey is also being considered, although Cowell has repeatedly said to the media that he questions whether she’ll have time to balance the show and her busy family life.
Houston performed on the U.K. version of the show in October 2009. No word yet from her team on whether she’s even considering the gig.
