Sanaa Lathan Lands Recurring TV Role on 'Boss'

Sanaa Lathan is set to join the second season of Starz’s series Boss, according to Deadline.com. Lathan will play Mona, the Chicago Mayor’s “incorruptible” new chief-of-staff.

Lathan’s been busy as of late. The Brown Sugar actress most recently appeared in the horror film Contagion, which premiered in theaters in September. IMDB reports that Lathan recently wrapped shooting the new thriller Vipak, co-starring Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie, and it’s set for release later this year.

Up next for Lathan is Macbett –the Caribbean version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Lathan will play Lady Macbett opposite Terrence Howard.
