As we celebrate the life of 'Soul Train" creator and host Don Cornelius, who died this morning, we get a glimpse of how truly groundbreaking the show was.

With Cornelius at the helm the show went on to become the longest-running syndicated show in television history. It was not only where young African-Americans could hear great music, but where they saw the best and latest in Black fashion trends and hairstyles.
